You have a great communication tool in this site. I came across it when we listed our farm land near Winchester with Steve Caplinger, and he suggested that we view your online newspaper.

The Newsleaf is an excellent way to keep the entire community informed on good news and events. Keep up the good work!

Steve - Thanks so much for providing this great community service, not only for those still living in the community, but for those like me, who have strong emotional ties to the community but live far away.

By the way, I thoroughly enjoyed the Veterans' Day ceremonies earlier this month at the highschool. Please convey to all involved what a great job they did. The music was outstanding, the students were attentive and polite, and the honorees truly did feel appreciated and honored.

Steve:
I thoughly enjoy the Newsleaf, especially on line. Since we don't have the Globe every day it keeps me informed even though I live in Effingham.
Thank you for a great idea come to life.

Hi Steve,
Thanks a lot for your hard work in keeping us all informed as to what is going on in Effingham and Atchison County.
Mary and I love to read the news. We remember when there was a newsleaf newspaper in Effingham and think the idea of continuing with the newsleaf name was great. It sure is great to live in the computer age.
Thanks again
Sincerely, Kenneth and Mary (Chester) Asher

This past issue of the Newsleaf on line was the best in apperance and format. There's a lot to be said about life in a rural community such as ours....and you do it with humor and respect. Thank you for the great photos they add so much to the Newsleaf.
Keep up the great work.

Thank you for providing this means of communication! My family lived in Effingham for 22 years (1963-1985)and we left there about 23 years ago, in 1985. I enjoy reading the Newsleaf and seeing the names of old friends along with former students and teachers.
